COPPER TUBE BENDING
The Swing-away Wiper die assembly is used for copper tube bending applications requiring a mandrel and a wiper die. The swing-away wiper die accessory is particularly advantageous when bending part shapes having short ends where trim material is added to avoid interference between the carriage and the wiper die. By reducing machine and tooling interference, the swing-away wiper die minimizes trim (scrap length) on the trailing end of the tube.

Many kinds of tube end forming shapes can be produced on this versatile E-2000 Eagle Precision copper tube bending machine. The ring reducing operation produces round and concentric reductions. Other ram tools enable forming of flanges and flares. Eagle Precision's EF-2000 copper tube bending machine consists of a rotary spindle mounted through a single hydraulic ram and a vice clamp to the part. The precise rotary flaring method produces accurate, concentric parts. In addition, spin flaring produces a smoother surface finish than ram flaring.
